Why we choose to hire formerly incarcerated?

Lack of opportunity might lead us to unforgiving destinations. We strongly believe, that given the right opportunity and support, we will extract the best out of most. We put stigma and past misfortune aside, and together we can build a better life for ourselves and our communities. Formerly incarcerated people who are unable to find employment after eight months have a 33% chance of committing another crime, landing them back behind bars. Only 12% of companies openly hire people with a conviction on their record. It is estimated that 5 million formerly incarcerated people living in the United States are unemployed. We choose to be part of the solution to this problem.
